Cheryl Cole & The English Teeth Obsession

Everyone knows somebody who has bad teeth but you may have noticed that many British celebrities either have bad teeth or used to have bad teeth. In the media it is typically common for people within that industry to smoke and drink vast amounts of coffee on a day to day basis. It is part of having a stressful job but it has resulted in many celebrities ending up with bad stereotypical English teeth. This is part of the reason that we now see our top British celebrities showing off freshly whitened teeth, but some celebrities have had to go further to fix their English teeth.

Wife of Ashley and Girls Aloud pop star Cheryl Cole was recently in the press with the headlines “Cheryl Cole Teeth Scandal”. The reports were saying that Cheryl Cole’s teeth had changed since her early days in the UK pop charts, as the stars teeth seemed to have miraculously straightened. There was speculation that Cheryl Cole’s teeth were actually veneers but after months of speculation, Cheryl broke her silence and admitted that she had worn an invisible brace during the early days of Girls Aloud to fix her crooked English teeth.

Quiz show presenter and former journalist Anne Robinson was previously a TV presenter with traditionally bad English teeth and this was something that was frequently commented on. However, as Anne Robinson’s career rose and her profile increased, her bad teeth seemed to fix themselves. It was later revealed that Anne Robinson had undergone dental surgery to improve her bad teeth and improve her smile for an American audience, this was because The Weakest Link was about to be televised on US TV.

With all these British celebrities turning to teeth whitening and porcelain veneers, many British people are following in their heroes footsteps and undergoing surgery on their English teeth. Many people are getting appointments at the cosmetic dental surgery for teeth whitening, invisible braces and more to improve the look of their teeth. It has also resulted in an increase in sales of home teeth whitening kits as well as increased online imports of Crest white strips.
