Going on holiday abroad just not the same
Going on holiday abroad was always seen as something to look forward to, where you would dream about laying on a beach, below beautiful skies with a cold drink to hand, weeks before your departure. This picturesque image has been replaced by the thought of having to drive on the M62 to get Manchester Airport for example, and the thought of the disasters, which often happen, on this busy motorway. If one lane is closed the queue can rapidly become 5 miles long and add an hour to your journey or worse the road is closed and you miss your flight altogether.
Now your at the airport the next job is to select the correct car park for the required terminal. This may not sound that hard, but if you are not accustomed with the airport or don’t like travelling at night whilst watching out for checking inn signs as you are whizzed along with the rest of the traffic, it can be very daunting. I have often seen other travellers in the same boat going round roundabouts searching for the correct terminal. Thankfully I have now found a way to minimise this awful experience by booking for example airport parking Glasgow at an off airport car park which is not just less expensive but they take the struggle out of driving to the airport by taking you to the terminal as part of their package. Living out in the county our travel to an airport is at least a couple of hours and if we fly in the morning and depending on price, we will book a Manchester airport hotel parking for example which once again reduces the trauma by travelling down the day before and allowing more of time for any delays.
Having arrived at the car park in one piece and after being transferred to the airport, we are nearly home and dry with the slight hassle of getting through security. Taking off your shoes, belts and putting liquids in a transparent bag is all the more annoying but is a necessary evil.
