How to get more traffic using Twitter For Business
Twitter.com has created a lot of attention this year with a media frenzy of stars mentioning Twitter on their blogs , and Internet marketing gurus telling you, we should use Twitter to create hundreds of followers , the talk about Twitter is hard to avoid . You most likely know people on Twitter and suppliers may have invited you to join them on Twitter . That brings us neatly to my point . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
A lot of people, actually I think most, don’t even “get” Twitter. And that’s partly because it can be many different things to almost as many people. And to some extent, they may even be all true, at least to that person.
Despite what you think of Twitter for yourself, there are opportunities you should deploy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. Even at a minimum you have one more point of contact via Twitter , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. It could be embarrassing if people search for you and your competitor , or a cyber squatter, have the jump on you to your own profile.
In other articles we talk about how to get noticed for your keyword and how to manage your account for targeted conversion (also covered well in that free video I mentioned earlier) but let’s do something we can do right now.
Many people envision Twitter traffic as an internal channel of Twitter itself . A concept most Twitter directories encourage . But , the advantages of having your existing clients follow you on Twitter are well worth having . So beneficial that we need to take action today .
A very quick solution is to add a Twitter “badge” to your web presences . It’s simply a graphic saying who you are on Twitter with a link to your Twitter profile. In the videos I mentioned , they reveal how , but let’s stick to a simple badge for now .
WHERE CAN I GET MY TWITTER BADGE ?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge without spending any money from here ;
http://wwwTwitterHug.com/twitter/category/badge/ – Custom Twitter Badge for free .
You simply paste the HTML code it provides in to your website, store, or blog and your customised graphic with active link, will magically appear .
It works great on WordPress blogs as a sidebar Text Widget. I’ve inserted them on my own blogs.
The Twitter badge is supplied in its own little HTML DIV tag so should exist perfectly almost anywhere.
If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in in that place . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
Once you’ve placed your badge, you can smile in the knowledge you have taken the right action, and before most of your competitors
