If You Want a Outdoor Fireplace and Want To DIY Then Get a Fireplace Kit
To have an outdoor fireplace is exciting and interesting. It is now the fashion and the in- thing to have an outdoor fireplace in addition to the normal indoor one. A fireplace exudes warmth and makes people comfortable, relaxed and cozy. These days people tend to move out of the house into the open backyard or the swimming poolside for parties and you need an outdoor fireplace to enhance the enjoyment of the outdoor parties.
There are many types of outdoor fireplaces available. You can have a prefabricated one which you can assemble at home known as outdoor fireplace kits. It comes with the instruction manual which should be easy for any person to install it. But you have to make sure that it complies with the local rules and regulations and that it is safe for everyone and does not pose a hazard.
A basic fireplace design consists of a portable fire pit and a chimney pot. The Mexican chimenea is a pot which has become very popular. You can get different types of these chimeneas and fire bowls at your store, garden center or discount stores like Walmart or Target. You can build your fireplace out of these items. These basic items can also double up for cooking purposes when you are not using it as a fireplace.
You have to build a low brick or stone wall around a fire pit which is in your backyard. This can be a permanent one and you can have seats around it so that people can sit and socialize. You can even have a fireplace which can be built into walls and can later be used as a pizzeria. If your fire pit is small you can have a grill over it so that, at other times, it can be used for cooking. Your outdoor fireplace can have so many uses other than just a place for fire. Your do it yourself fireplace can be constructed so that it is two or three in one.
When you plan to build your own fireplace outdoors, the first thing you have to decide is the location. Also you have to decide on the size. If you are building it on your patio, you have to build it far away from your plants and other garden things so that sparks from the fireplace will not have the necessity of calling for a fire brigade. There should also be enough space for people to sit around.
If you want a permanent fireplace, then it is better to seek the help of a professional. But if you only want to build a surround for your fire pit then you can do it yourself. The bricks or the rocks you purchase should be of good quality.
