And finally, you’ll be surprised at how many people have the hobby of searching the internet for freebies stuff, with great success.  Free discount cards, samples and promotional items can serve as a small gift if you are on a tight budget.  For example, students can spend some time looking online for free stuff to give a loved one, rather than spending cash they don’t have.  Here again, you need to make sure you know what the recipient likes, but then you’ll run into that even if you’re buying a conventional gift.
